Over the last few weeks I’ve spent most of my writing time composing new haiku. When I get the inspiration, I just have to go with it. Here are a few more.

water washes rocks

a meeting of sound and silence

at the rivers edge

feathered heads held high

geese squawk their displeasure

at my approach

wind speaks

as birds use it

to stay aloft

path through the forest

leading beyond all meaning

spirit of freedom

rose points on a map

giving up security

for a walkabout

contemplating trees

bare limbs brown striations

in an azure sky

border crossing

imaginary lines

of demarcation
