I just started reading a book titled, “James the brother of Jesus.” by Robert Eisenman, published in 1997. The introduction claims that most of the “historical” information we have about Jesus is wrong. (Which I have always believed.) He says that there is lots of extra biblical information about the brother of Jesus (James) such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Nag Hammadi library and other sources to support this idea. Eisenman is a very accomplished author and biblical scholar so the book should be a good read. It’s 966 pages, not including the introduction. I will report from time to time how it’s going. Wish me luck.
